AAAwave
Version 4.0
Clean up your digitized vinyl and tape recordings

System requirementsMicrosoft Windows XP,2000,ME,98,NT

Any Microsoft 32-bit windows operating system . It also requires a decent amount of memory.  One minute of wave time requires about 10MB memory.  So if you need to edit a 30 minute track you need about 300MB of virtual memory on your system.

We do support Windows 98 but prefer Windows 2000 or XP as they handle large amounts of memory much better.  With a slow system or one with a high paging rate (due to low memory) you may find the editor takes longer.  However, we have spent a lot of time speeding up version 4 where possible (especially with Win98).

Shareware

AAAwave is available as shareware, the trial version being the same as the full version except you can only use it FREE for 7 days. So you can download it and check it out!

Once you are happy it will perform to your expectations then you can request a license key from us by buying online. You can download the software here AAAwave download it is about 2MB in size so will not take too long (depending on your internet speed).

Description

We have released version 4, a major upgrade to our popular software that corrects the hiss, crackle and pops in waves that have been recorded from old media such as vinyl records (LPs) and cassette tapes.

  • Are you converting your old records and tapes to CD?
  • Having trouble listening to them due to the unwanted noise on the recording?
  • Forgotten how bad the quality of those old records are?
  • Tried to find the old music on CD?
  • Even tried ‘remove pop and hiss’ options when converting?
  • And you still can’t listen to them because of the poor quality of the music?

Well you are not alone. The same happened to me. I have over 200 records and tapes that I just cannot find in the shops on CD. I eventually started converting them to ‘wave’ files using a leading CD creator with sound editor. It was very useful for recording (it even had a remove pop and hiss option) but its sound editing features left a lot to be desired. So our development team created AAAwave (read the brochure in word format).
