Books
Project Management Concepts
This book is a general course or reference manual
about project management. It tackles project management from a
business perspective not a technical project management one
(although it does talk about some useful project management
techniques such as the funnel effect).
The book is aimed at novice, less experienced and
part-time project managers. It looks at many of the 'soft' project
management problems such as team building, communications and
writing reports.
Project Director
This book is aimed at users of the VW Project
Director product. It shows how to use VW Project Director along with
many of the project management practices required in any project
office.

Technical view
The system is written in Microsoft Visual Basic and uses HTML to
display pages to any browser.
The books are stored in a database having been pre-converted into
HTML sections. This makes the pages display fast - there is nothing
worse that the world-wide-wait! The database itself can be your
choice, the system uses ADO recordsets and ODBC connectivity. The
initial database is shipped as MS-Access.
The database of books is managed with Book Developer (sold
separately) this also converts MS-Word documents into database
books.
Users and tables are managed using the standard VW Administrator
utility.
